Asphodelus ramosus
Family: Liliaceae
Perennial. Native to middle Europe and the shores of the Mediterranean.
Ancient plant, with an acrid root which was once used medicinally and as
glue. Cultivation: Extra care. Sow seeds
in spring, summer or fall, and expect vigorous germination the following
spring. I have done this many times with good success. Plant
prefers moisture and full sun. Transplant 6 inches apart. Flowers
prettily to 3 feet.
