Family:  Solanacea    Potentially TOXIC
Woody perennial.  Native to temperate zones almost everywhere.. The stems are used (sparingly) for treatment of sluggish liver and maladies of the skin related to poor assimilation of fats.  The berries are poisonous.  Cultivation:  Easy. Sow seed in greenhouse, transplant seedlings to shady, moist area.  Space 3 feet apart.  Grows about 4 feet tall.    Not for sale to WA state.
