Feverfew

Tanacetum parthenium

Family: Asteraceae
Herbaceous perennial.  Native to temperate zones of the world.  The single, white and yellow, daisy-like flowers grow densely on upright bushes, as pretty as Chamomile.  The plants live 2 or 3 years, and replace themselves through self-seeding. The dry leaf, flower and/or seed may be made into tea or tincture, providing a valuable tonic for the prevention of migraine.  Cultivation: Easy.  Light-dependent germinator.  Sow seed on surface of soil and press in.  Keep moist. Average germ time 13 days.  Full sun or shade.  Transplant 12 inches apart.  Grows to 3 feet.
