Herbaceous perennial. Native to the Appalachias. Incredible,
towering purple flowers. This plant elicited awestruck gasps from
visitors passing by our front flower bed. The root is valued as a
female remedy and tonic. Cultivation: Extra care.
Light-dependent germinator. Short-lived seed. Germ. in 9-13 days.
Plant prefers full sun, average garden soil and regular watering.
Space plants 1 to 2 feet apart. Flowers purple to 7 feet.
