Herbaceous perennial. Native to Asia, China and Japan. A rare
collection of an unusual species. Bears upright racemes of waxy, ornamental
flowers that give way to blue-black fruits, divided in even sections. Cultivation,
toxicity and medical use similar to Phytolacca americana (Domestic
Poke). Cold hardy.
