Rosemary

Rosmarinus officinalis

Family: Lamiaceae
Woody perennial.  Native to the Mediterranean.  Valuable circulation stimulant and antioxidant.  Try drawing a very hot bath, infused with Rosemary via a giant teabag full of the dried plant.  Put in some Epsom salts for a delightful, stimulating and healing experience. Cultivation: Difficult from seed.  Sow these light-dependent germinators on top of planting medium and tamp in.  Keep coolish (55-60 degrees F) until germ., which occurs sporadically in 2 to 3 weeks.  Space plants 2 to 4 feet apart. Mulch heavily to overwinter in cold areas.   Grows 3 feet tall.  Flowers blue/purple.
