Perennial. Native to the Mediterranean, Europe and Russia.
The dark green, thick, shining leaves are decorative and highly aromatic,
rich in thymol. The culinary and medicinal uses are the same as for Summer
Savory, but this plant yields a more intense medicine. Plant 2 feet
apart, flowers to 2 feet tall.
