Evergreen tree. Resembling the Mimosa, this handsome tree is
native to the Himalayas, where it grows up to an elevation of 4,000 feet.
The bark, leaves and flowers are used for various conditions including
snake bite and night blindness. Cultivation: Extra care.
Scarify, or cover seeds with just-boiled water and allow to soak overnight
before planting in a warm place. Grow out in gallon pots for a year before
transplanting to landscape or garden. Protect from freezing.
Grows 30 to 40 feet.
