French Sorrel

Herbaceous perennial.  Native to Southern Eurasia.  The main utility of this broadleaf Sorrel is to enliven soups and sauces with its pure acidity.  High vitamin content, gargle for sore throat.  Cultivation:  Sow the seeds in the early spring. Thin or transplant to 1 foot apart.  Prefers a dryish and sunny location.  Flowers rust-red to 3 feet.
