Annual. Rare. This is a curious olde English plant, with
a stem that grows through the smooth, rich green leaves, flowering yellow
on plate-like bracts. Cultivation: Easy. Sow seed in greenhouse
in early spring, or sow in outdoor beds in the fall, midwinter or early
spring. Plant grows well in dry soils. Transplant out 6 inches
apart. Flowers to 2 feet tall.
