
Wild Quinine
Parthenium integrifolium

Herbaceous perennial. Native to the remaining prairies of eastern,
southern and central U.S.. The flowers occur in loose, cream-colored umbels.
They may be cut for fresh or dried arrangements with very agreeable results.
The tea of dried leaves and flowers was once a popular remedy against malarial
fevers. Cultivation: Easy. Sow in early spring.
Plant 1 to 2 feet apart. Flowers to 3 feet.
