
Stachys byzantina
Family: Lamiaceae
Perennial. Native to the Mid-East. Do not confuse with
Wood Betony (Stachys off.). This is an ornamental herb, grown
for its furry grey-green leaves. They lie in a soft rosette, and
produce a flowering raceme with clusters of pink flowers. Very good
in pots. The plant may be used for accent in herb gardens or
for dried arrangements. Cultivation same as for Wood Betony.
Germ in 9-13 days. Flowers to 2 feet.
